This blank of wood is very nice , but to heavy. There is no place that lists the weight.. When I weighted the blank its 14.5 lbs. I wanted this for a shredder guitar but way to heavy to use, so I have no clues what to use it for. Even my 2006 Gibson Les Paul Custom is only 10lbs and that is complete..Great two-piece blank for the price, and perfectly usable. However, there were a couple defects present that might be worth nitpicking about (not because of the way they were present in this blank, but because of the way they could possibly be present in others). For one, there was a small knot towards the side (shown in 4th pic). This was easily cut around in one of the contours, so no biggie there, but still a knot. The other defect was the cracking (seemingly from dry air) towards the end of one side. These cracks, fortunately, looked like they were sealed with something (superglue?) and didn't go much deeper than they appeared to. So, would buy again, but keep those in mind.Came with a few dings and the seam in the middle was split with a knot. Not to mention the big shoe print on the one side. Not very happyThe body blank has nice grain and color but a bit on the heavy side. Sense I was already planing on chambering the body when I use this blank it won't matter too much.Very nice wood ,the joint was well machined ,still needs to be thickness but that’s not a problemI got ten chunks of wood.
